Grandmaster Iksung Kim has taught to over thousands of students of all ages throughout the course of his Kumdo (Kendo) career. His 35 years of teaching experience spans across the United States and he set up the first official Korea Kumdo Association recognized dojang (studio) in the United States in New York back in 1995 (Sung Moo Kwan).
What sets Grandmaster Iksung Kim apart from other masters is his personalized approach to teaching and understanding that every student is unique. Through this approach, he has fostered hundreds of high Dan-level students who have also become instructors in Kumdo (Kendo) themselves.
Grandmaster Kim was the former Vice President of the Western Korea Kumdo Association and has hosted numerous tournaments on a city, regional, and national level.
